Laser Therapy

Our veterinarians and staff are trained and certified to provide therapeutic laser therapy. Therapeutic lasers deliver specific red and near-infrared wavelengths of laser light to induce a photochemical reaction and therapeutic effect. Physiological effects include increased circulation, reduced inflammation, pain reduction, and enhanced tissue healing.

During each painless treatment, laser energy increases circulation, drawing water, oxygen, and nutrients to the damaged area. This creates an optimal healing environment that reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness, and pain. As the injured area returns to normal, the function is restored and pain is relieved.

Each treatment takes between 5-10 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated.

The most common conditions for laser therapy include, but are not limited to:

  • Post-Surgical (Lacerations, Incision Sites)
  • Musculo-Skeletal Pain (Arthritis, Back Pain, Otitis)
  • Trauma/Injury (Bite Wounds, Hot Spots)
  • Inflammation and Infection (Urinary Bladder Infections, Abscess)

We incorporate laser therapy into all routine treatment plans, but we also offer treatment packages for chronic conditions.

What We Don’t Do

We do not provide routine wellness services (vaccines), and we do not keep pets overnight for hospitalization. If your pet is diagnosed with a serious condition, we will discuss other options with you, including the possible need for transfer to a 24-hour veterinary emergency center for further care.
